A 33-year-old woman was diagnosed with HIV several years ago. She has taken dolutegravir and tenofovir alafenamide-emtricitabine and has consistently had suppressed HIV RNA levels. Recent laboratory studies showed a CD4 count of 586 cells/mm³ and an undetectable HIV RNA level. She has no other medical problems. Initial laboratory test results at entry into care, including a comprehensive metabolic panel, complete blood count, and urinalysis, were normal.
